I did not shoot it though the bolt was so sloppy that it will rattle from the receiver. I do like the new Game Reaper scope mount I purchased for it. Still need a NEW Kimber Montana in both 270 WSM or 270 earn if anyone know of 1 for sale. They are pleasant to handle and seem actual great hope I can get one of several good ones for your wife.
The Montana will be the nicest carrying rifle I very own - rivaled only by old tang basic safety Ruger Ultralight. It shoulders and points quite nicely. I just returned from six weeks of elk hunting in Idaho and Montana.
I've experienced a 300WSM Montana for two yrs and I wasn't happy when I bought it. I had been getting ready for just a dall sheep hunt in Alaska and wished a light weight rifle. I had feeding complications along with the trigger needed some operate. As an alternative to sendinng it again to Kimber, I took it to my gunsmith and used about $sixty for the do the job. It then worked great. I believe Kimber has some really serious high-quality Command problems. Some guns work terrific through the factor and some Really don't.
It does tighten up somewhat with two or three rounds in it but I was concerned about how loose it feels. The gun I purchased was the sole one particular offered so I could not Evaluate it to another Kimbers.
Other folks have mentioned it but I will repeat - any manufacturing unit rifle may well develop into a lemon. I have experienced Superb and very negative from different suppliers. Every rifle is really a crapshoot.

For a "cheep" gun I love it, it shoots fantastic and is incredibly exact. I might suggest them Should your considering a price range gun.
